The Role

Next Sourcing is seeking a creative powerhouse to join our in-house global design hub. We are looking for a Menswear Graphic Designer who lives at the intersection of high-fashion visual innovation and commercial viability. As our Graphic Designer, you will be the visual architect behind the prints, branding, and typography that define our menswear collections. You will capture the perfect balance of street-influenced aesthetic, youth culture trends, and elevated casual style to create graphics that are as commercially successful as they are trend-setting.

We’re so much more than just a British retailer. From Istanbul to Shanghai, our Sourcing teams live and work in some of the most iconic cities in the world. They're at the heart of finding, developing, and delivering the products our customers love, wear, and use every day. Located across the globe, our Next Sourcing teams specialise in all different parts of the sourcing operation, from design and technology to product development.

What You’ll Take On

  • Design Innovative Menswear Graphics: Create compelling, original artwork, placement prints, all-over prints (AOPs), badge designs, and embroideries across various menswear categories including t-shirts, sweats, outerwear, and jersey.
  • Translate Global Visual Trends: Continually research and filter high-level streetwear, typography, digital art, and youth culture trends into "must-have" commercial graphic concepts relevant to the NEXT customer.
  • Inspirational & Development Travel: Embark on seasonal trips to key global cities for trend inspiration, as well as visiting our international printers and suppliers to oversee strike-offs, print execution, and technique development.
  • Drive Rapid Design Cycles: Respond quickly to fast-turnaround graphic briefs with high-energy and precision, producing accurate CADs and production-ready artwork without sacrificing creative edge.
  • Master Print & Embroidery Techniques: Design intelligently with a deep knowledge of print executions (e.g., screen print, high-density, puff, discharge, sublimation) and garment washes, ensuring a premium feel at a competitive price point.
  • Partner with Global Teams: Collaborate daily with Menswear Garment Designers, Buyers, and Sourcing Specialists to ensure graphics seamlessly align with clothing silhouettes, fabrications, and overall range plans.
  • Ensure Tech-Pack Accuracy: Deliver clean, colour-separated artwork files and highly detailed graphic specification packs to international factories to ensure exact execution.

What You’ll Bring

  • Menswear Graphic Design Expertise: A strong background specifically in commercial menswear graphic design, showcasing a diverse style range, excellent layout capability, and strong contemporary typography skills.
  • Design Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is essential; you will use these daily to build high-quality visual renders, precise placement layouts, and tech packs.
  • Print Production Knowledge: A solid technical understanding of how graphics translate onto different fabric weights, commercial printing limitations, and how prints react to different heavy garment washes.
  • Industry Background: Experience working within a large-scale retailer or a high volume supplier, giving you a realistic understanding of the speed, scale, and calendar structure at which we operate.
  • Team-First Mentality: Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine love for collaboration. You know how to build rapport and pitch concepts to buyers, garment designers, and overseas factory partners alike.
  • Resilience in Busy Moments: Excellent organisational skills to remain level-headed when deadlines tighten, managing multiple graphic drops and fast-track capsules simultaneously without losing attention to detail.
  • Proactive Curiosity: A genuine passion for street culture, music, art, and print innovation, always seeking out new execution techniques or sustainable ink alternatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
