Product Manager

  • Position: Full-time
  • Reports to: SD / General Manager

Purpose

Key responsibilities:


Key Responsibilities

Commercial Performance and Analysis

  • Is responsible for the commercial identity of the store.
  • Analyse the performance of the store/department (Clothes, Tempe, and Perfumes) to ensure achievement of sales targets using appropriate tools and planning correct strategy.
  • Sales Data & Strategy Adjustments:
    • Analyse sales data for the Store and adjust strategies to maximise sales.
    • Plan the store strategy weekly with the Store Director/General Manager.
  • Store Planning & Customer Experience:
    • Oversee store plan and layouts to enhance commercial strategy and optimise the customer shopping experience.
    • Work alongside the Regional and National Team to implement strategies aligned with customer profiles (via in-store workshops).
  • Application & Data Management:
    • Deep knowledge of all commercial applications: Retail App, Merchan App, Alert Exposition, Itx Stock, Deliveries App, Money Mapping…
    • Prepare and lead in-store visits to evaluate sales potential and provide strategy feedback and product needs.
  • Product & Promotion Coordination:
    • Collaborate with OPS Managers to synchronise visual strategies with promotional activities (e.g., product launches).
    • Follow up on stock management by revising backstock proposals per weekly strategy.
  • Product Levels & Communication:
    • Control product levels in the store and liaise with Senior Management (Spain PM) for product needs.
    • Align Commercial Team scheduling in Orquest with company guidelines.

Visual Merchandising Strategy

  • Develop and execute a visual merchandising strategy aligning with brand identity, market trends, and business goals.
  • Seasonal Planning & Execution:
    • Ensure seasonal items reflect the shop floor, following the corporate calendar and responding to trends.
  • Innovation & Store Presentation:
    • Identify and implement creative visual ideas in store furniture, lighting, and mannekins.
    • Maintain standardised window displays and propose improvements.
    • Stay updated on latest fashion trends and participate in Fashionista projects.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Training & Feedback:
    • Manage training, reviews, and feedback for the Commercial Team to ensure quality performance.
    • Identify team potentials and succession plans, following LEAP tracking.
  • Team Motivation & Communication:
    • Lead and maintain high motivational levels in the team.
    • Conduct daily commercial updates to align the team with sales goals.
  • Administrative Responsibilities:
    • Oversee payroll processes and adhere to deadlines.
    • Ensure HR processes (meetings, leave management) follow company policy.
  • Sustainability Advocacy:
    • Be an ambassador for the company’s sustainability project.
    • Uphold sustainability standards and propose innovative, cost-reducing improvements.

Customer Experience

  • Set the example for highest customer service standards.
  • Customer Insights & Team Knowledge:
    • Deep customer behaviour and profile understanding to improve product knowledge for sales growth.
    • Resolve customer issues and escalate as needed to the Customer Service Team.
    • Actively contribute to customer experience initiatives.

Security Procedures

  • Support adherence to security and funds management procedures:
    • Ensure proper sign-offs and documentation compliance.
    • Organise and support the security team and procedures.
  • Cash Handling & Verification:
    • Open/close cash desk and provide support.
    • Monitor cash discrepancies and report to line management.
    • Oversee banking processes and follow up on incidents with the L&P Department.
  • Security Proactive Role:
    • Align stock loss action plans.
    • Process role in refund/change management requests.

Health & Safety (H&S)

  • Prioritise risk awareness for employees and customers by adhering to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Report events or accidents via HS Net app.
  • Maintain good housekeeping across the store.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in fashion retail is essential.
  • Merchandising knowledge in similar retail environments is preferred.
  • Fashion/textile design qualification: Desirable but not required.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful commercial strategies.
