Role Overview

Are you an experienced Registered Midwife looking for an exciting opportunity in a supportive, friendly, and dynamic environment? Do you have a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting women and birthing people throughout their maternity journey? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Midwife who has successfully completed their NHS preceptorship and is passionate about providing enhanced, person-centred care within the perinatal mental health pathway across our Oldham and Rochdale sites.

You will work closely with the local perinatal mental health team and others to ensure that there are clear integrated pathways of care for women with perinatal mental illness. You will be part of a dedicated team who continually evaluate the service so that it is person-centred, quality driven and responsive. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT).

  • Committed to delivering high-quality care that is responsive to the needs of the local community.
  • Actively engage with women, birthing people, and families who use our services to support continuous improvement in care delivery and service co-design.
  • Work with the Lead Specialist Midwife for Maternal Mental Health as a member of the Mental Health team to provide support for women with mental health concerns.
  • Support the Specialist Midwife in Mental Health, to ensure the organisation meets its Mental Health responsibilities throughout the childbirth continuum.
  • Provide advice and support to Care organisation staff on Mental health issues.
  • Deliver training and participate in the delivery of signposting and support for other professionals under the direction of the Specialist Midwife for Mental Health.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
