Mental Health Nurse (RMN) – specialist eating disorders
Are you an experienced RMN looking for an environment where kindness and teamwork truly matter? Where you’ll be supported to grow, develop, and deliver exceptional healthcare while making an impact?
Rhodes Wood Hospital, nestled in Hatfield, is seeking dedicated RMNs to join its specialist inpatient eating disorders service for children and young people aged 12–18. As part of Elysium Healthcare, you’ll work within a multidisciplinary team, helping vulnerable young people recover with high-quality, compassionate care—while progressing your career.
Your role is more than just nursing: you’ll make a real and lasting difference.
About the Role
As an experienced RMN, you’ll provide bespoke, evidence-based care tailored to children and young people struggling with eating disorders. Your specialist skills will be paired with recognition, mentorship, and career growth, enabling you to thrive in supportive surroundings.
Each treatment programme is designed to meet individual needs, ensuring personalised wellness, recovery, and long-term wellness for service users. Your collaboration with colleagues—including Healthcare Assistants, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, and Social Workers—will foster a dynamic, patient-centric approach.
The ward operates with both engagement and structure, balancing variety and routine. You’ll experience diverse responsibilities, ranging from observations and documentation to care planning, all while contributing to a positive team culture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
