Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner – Evolve Psychology Services

About Evolve Psychology

At Evolve Psychology, we do things differently. Founded in 2014 by Dr Laura Powling, we began with a bold aim to redefine what clinical and neurodevelopmental psychology means in practice. Our mission: to bring care, connection, empathy, and clinical excellence together—with no compromise.

Originally a small practice specialising in expert witness and neurodevelopmental assessments, we’ve grown into an international independent psychology and neurodevelopmental service spanning the UK, Ireland, and beyond.

Our key pathways in the UK include (via NHS and private):

  • NHS-funded neurodevelopmental assessments (online/in-person via Right to Choose)
  • Private neurodevelopmental assessments (online/in-person when clinically appropriate)
  • Assessments for SpLD (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia)
  • Intellectual disability/cognitive assessments

We’re clinician-founded and -led, with all clinicians registered with HCPC, NMC, GMC, or Social Work England (or affiliated with the British Psychological Society). As an award-winning, multidisciplinary team of over 100 experts, we’re committed to excellence in every interaction.

What Sets Evolve Apart?

  • Expert leadership: Founded and led by Dr Laura Powling, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 20+ years’ experience in mental health, neurodevelopmental, and forensic psychology.
  • NHS-accredited: Recognised for high-quality regional and national services.
  • Gold-standard assessments: Compliance with NICE, BPS, and international standards.
  • Digital-first support: Proprietary electronic health records, diagnostic tools, and ongoing training to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Person-centred care: Evidence-based, multidisciplinary assessments supporting the whole person—not just diagnostics.
  • Research & training hub: Clinical experts can engage with the Evolve Inter Skills & Research Academy (shaping neurodiversity awareness/training or collaborating on studies).
  • Values-driven: Compassion, clarity, and integrity shape everything—from team interactions to family support.
  • Sustainable growth: Expanding globally while keeping quality at the core, with clinics across the UK and a multidisciplinary team of 100+.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
