Mental Health Practitioner North East London NHS Foundation Trust
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and dedicated professional to join the North East London NHS Foundation Trust as part of the innovative integrated mental health services team within GP Primary Care Networks (PCNs). This fixed-term role for a year with the potential of the role becoming a permanent position within Band 7, with a salary of £49,397 to £56,515 (pro-rated for less than full-time hours). The role is full-time, requiring 37.5 hours per week, and will be based in the Waltham Forest area.

The Role
As a vital member of the team, you will play a key role in delivering integrated mental health services through close collaboration between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health Services. This position is central to the development of an innovative, patient-focused approach to mental health care within PCNs. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals’ lives while contributing to the advancement of mental health services in the community.

- Provide expert clinical care and support to individuals with mental health needs within a primary care setting.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health Services to ensure seamless and integrated care delivery.
- Utilise your non-medical prescribing qualification to support patient-centred care and tailor treatment plans to individual needs.
Essential Skills And Qualifications
- Non-medical prescriber qualification with the ability to prescribe safely and effectively within the scope of practice.
- Proven ability to work independently, including experience in lone working, with excellent decision-making skills in clinical settings.
- Strong clinical knowledge and a sound understanding of mental health care within both primary and secondary care contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement Outer London Waltham Forest
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).
