An Exciting Opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner/Community Mental Health Nurse (Band 6)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner/Community Mental Health Nurse (Band 6) to join the City North Local Mental Health Team (LMHT).

About the Role

LMHT is a community-based service which operates Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. The LMHTs provide mental health services for adults across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

We help patients and their families cope with periods of severe mental illness and assess, plan and implement a personalised path of recovery. Some of our patients may require short term intervention, and sometimes longer-term care plans will be put in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Manage complex cases in partnership with other agencies
  • Provide a high-quality service to our patients and their families

In return the successful applicant will receive training and support to develop specific therapeutic skills.

Requirements

  • Applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment.
  • The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
  • You are encouraged to enroll for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
