Mental Health Recovery Worker
Job Title: Mental Health Recovery Worker Location: Bath Road, Swindon
About the Role
Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We are looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team at Bath Road—a CQC Registered home supporting up to ten individuals with severe and enduring mental health challenges.
Here at Bath Road, our focus is more than just accommodation: we provide comprehensive support in daily living skills, personal care, financial management, and rehabilitation, while encouraging meaningful community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Help individuals rebuild confidence and independence
- Support service users in achieving their personal goals
- Provide one-to-one guidance and collaborate with mental health agencies as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Build respectful, honest relationships while maintaining strict professional boundaries
Requirements & Qualities
We’re seeking candidates with:
- Experience supporting people with mental illness or in a social care setting (paid/voluntary roles Welcome)
- Strong listening skills, empathy, patience, and a genuine, kind approach
- Ability to work confidently with digital systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, internet)
- A commitment to our organisational values and a willingness to learn and develop
- Transferable skills, passion for helping others, and a drive to make a real difference

Working Arrangements
- Location: Swindon (Bath Road)
- Hours:
- Rota-based shifts: 5-week rolling rota, 5 shifts per week, including sleeps-ins
- Minimum of 3 working weekends for a 5-week period
- Shift timings: 8am–4pm, 2pm–10pm (with overnight), 7am–1pm, 1pm–9pm shifts
