Role Description

The Mental Health Specialist role is a part-time remote position focused on delivering high-quality, client-centered mental health services through TherapyMantra’s online platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments
  • Providing individual and group counseling sessions
  • Developing evidence-based care plans tailored to each client’s needs
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary professionals for case management
  • Monitoring client progress
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation
  • Participating in regular supervision or team meetings

Additional tasks may involve:

  • Crisis intervention support
  • Contributing to mental health resources
  • Using digital tools to ensure timely communication and follow-up with clients

Qualifications

  • Strong Mental Health Care and Mental Health skills, with experience in direct client support and therapeutic interventions.
  • Solid foundation in Psychology, including knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and client-centered practice.
  • Case Management skills, including care planning, coordination with other providers, and ongoing monitoring of client outcomes.
  • Crisis Intervention skills, with the ability to assess risk, de-escalate situations, and follow appropriate safety protocols.
  • Relevant academic background such as a master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field; appropriate licensure or certification as required in the candidate’s jurisdiction.
  • Strong communication, active listening, and empathy skills, with cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse populations in an online setting.
  • Comfort with digital tools and telehealth platforms, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a part-time remote caseload independently.
  • Prior experience in online therapy, community mental health, or workplace mental health programs is beneficial.
