Mental Health Support Worker

Salary Details
Support Worker (Mental Health Focus):
- Hourly Wage: £19.90 (base post-17.80p/h progression)
- Key Responsibilities:
- Medication prompting & support
- Promotion of companionship
- Urban and community outings
Care Assistant
- Hourly Wage: £13.90 – £17.80 p/h
- Current minimum: £13.25 (if under 2 years experience)
Clinical Carer
- Hourly Wage: £14.65 – £18.15 p/h
Live-in Carer
- Salary: £975 – £1,150 per month
- Adjustable according to care package complexity
Awake Nights
- Hourly Wage: £14.65 – £18.15
Sleep-ins
- Nightly Rate: £115

Responsibilities
- Companionship & connection: Build trusting relationships with clients through engaging activities
- Medication & support: Expert administration and memory prompts for those with cognitive needs
- Urban integration: Help clients explore or access community spaces and services
- Mental health & morale: Attentive listening, encouragement, and uplift through tailored activities
Requirements
- Manual driving licence: Mandatory
- Location proximity: Must live near Colchester/Tendring or surrounding areas
- Pets: Ability to care for clients with pets (e.g. cats & dogs)
