Mental Health Support Worker (Days)

Day Support Worker

Location: Millcroft, Seacroft, Leeds

Salary: £13.45 per hour + Overtime (£14.95 per hour)

Hours: Full-time, 38.5 hours a week on a two-week rolling rota:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday (7:45am - 7:45pm)
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (7:45am - 7:45pm)

To ensure continuity in care delivery, applicants must have Right to Work in the UK for a minimum of 18 months from their agreed start date.

Note: No visa sponsorship is available at this time.


About the Role

Active Pathways is recruiting for a passionate Mental Health Support Worker to join Millcroft, their residential service based in Seacroft, Leeds.

Millcroft provides a safe and supportive home for men with enduring mental health needs, seeking a candidate who shares their commitment to:

Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, your role will include:

  • Supporting individuals on their journey to recovery through person-centred care in a residential setting.
  • Assisting residents in developing independent living skills and achieving personal goals.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to build positive relationships with residents.
  • Providing emotional and practical support.
  • Encouraging motivating activities and fostering social inclusion.
  • Assisting with daily living tasks and supporting residents in accessing:
    • Education
    • Employment
    • Community engagement activities
  • Promoting independence and self-confidence, helping residents regain control over their lives.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Mental Health or Residential setting
  • Exceptional rapport-building skills – capable of connecting easily with:
    • Residents
    • Wider team
  • Commitment to providing person-centred, high-quality care
