Mental Health Support Worker (Days)

Mental Health Support Worker – (Supported Living)

Location

Clayton-le-Woods, Lancashire

Contract Type

Part-time Day Shifts: 27.5 hours per week


Salary & Working Conditions

Salary:

  • £13.45 per hour (standard)
  • Overtime: £14.95 per hour Shift times: 8am - 9pm (with 1 in 2 weeks off)

About the Role

Active Pathways Ltd is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join the team at Brook House, a 13-bed supported living service in Clayton-le-Woods. This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with:

  • Mental health needs
  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism

With 24-hour staffing and a multidisciplinary team, Brook House focuses on empowering residents to achieve independence and foster recovery.


Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide person-centred care in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Help residents develop independent living skills and set personal goals.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to build strong relationships.
  • Offer emotional and practical support to residents.
  • Encourage meaningful activities and ensure social inclusion.
  • Assist with daily living tasks and support residents in accessing education, employment, and community opportunities.
  • Promote independence and self-confidence to help residents regain control of their lives.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Experience within mental health or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
  • Strong ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues.
  • Understanding of person-centred care values.
