Mental Health Support Worker

Join Our Team as a Mental Health Support Worker

Location: Thistley Lodge, Leamington Spa

Enhancement Additional Payments:

  • £0.86 - Unsocial Hours
  • 1.5 x hourly rate - Bank Holiday

About Thistley Lodge

Thistley Lodge is a warm and welcoming CQC-registered home that supports people living with a severe and enduring mental illness. We provide 24-hour, recovery-focused support, offering practical help and encouragement with daily living skills, personal support, finances, and rehabilitation.

Our experienced team works closely with local mental health and social care services to make sure each person receives the right support at the right time. We also encourage everyone at Thistley Lodge to stay involved in the community — whether through learning, education, employment opportunities, or social and leisure activities. Thistley Lodge is a spacious eight-bed home, located close to Leamington Spa town centre, with great access to transport links, health services, and local community facilities.

What you will do as a Mental Health Support Worker?

Skills

In this role, I will support individuals on their recovery journey, helping them build skills, confidence, and independence. My work will include:

  • Providing one-to-one key-worker support and building positive, professional relationships
  • Carrying out assessments and developing personalised support and safety plans
  • Encouraging people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing
  • Supporting individuals with daily living skills and accessing community services
  • Liaising with mental health agencies, professionals, and community groups
  • Contributing to safeguarding and promoting a safe, supportive environment
  • Keeping accurate records, monitoring progress, and sharing information with the team
  • Helping improve the service by offering feedback and supporting colleagues

  • Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness
  • Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet)
