Mental Health Support Worker - Nights
Join Our Team as a Night Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Cavendish Lodge, Leamington Spa.
Role available: Night shifts – Rota basis – 8pm-8am
Enhancement Additional Payments: £0.86 - Unsocial Hours, 1.5 x hourly rate - Bank Holiday

Join our dedicated team at Cavendish Lodge, a CQC-registered home supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health challenges, as a Mental Health Support Worker working night shifts on a rota basis (8pm–8am) to provide compassionate, person-centred support.
Cavendish Lodge is a CQC-registered Nursing Home supporting adults with severe and enduring mental illness. Our eight-bedded home in Leamington Spa provides 24-hour, person-centred support focused on recovery, independence, and wellbeing.
Our experienced team—including support workers, a qualified nurse, and supportive managers—works closely with local mental health services to help residents develop daily living skills, manage their wellbeing, and stay connected to the community. We encourage involvement in education, employment, volunteering, and social activities, creating a positive and empowering environment for everyone.
What you will do?
Skills
In this role, I will support individuals on their recovery journey, helping them build skills, confidence, and independence. My work will include:
- Providing one-to-one key-worker support and building positive, professional relationships
- Carrying out assessments and developing personalised support and safety plans
- Encouraging people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing
- Supporting individuals with daily living skills and accessing community services
- Liaising with mental health agencies, professionals, and community groups
- Contributing to safeguarding and promoting a safe, supportive environment
- Keeping accurate records, monitoring progress, and sharing information with the team
- Helping improve the service by offering feedback and supporting colleagues

- Experience supporting people with mental illness in a social care setting (paid or voluntary)
- Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness
- Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet)
- A commitment to our values and willingness to learn
