About the Role
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you'll support adults living with mental health needs to develop independence, achieve their personal goals, and live fulfilling lives.
- No two days are the same—you'll work alongside residents to provide practical and emotional support.
- Encourage choice, confidence, and independence from day one.
Your Responsibilities
You may assist with:
- Preparing meals and developing cooking skills
- Managing medication and attending appointments
- Budgeting and maintaining their home
- Accessing the local community
- Developing hobbies, interests, and life skills
- Providing emotional support and encouragement
- Supporting individuals in achieving their recovery goals

About You
We’re looking for individuals who are:
- Kind, respectful, and reliable
- Committed to supporting others
- Good communicators
- Willing to learn and develop
Experience in health and social care is welcome but not essential. An advantage to applicants who have:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care
- Experience supporting a family member, friend, or loved one
- Experience working with people who have mental health needs or complex needs
Requirements
- Two satisfactory references covering the past three years, including any roles supporting vulnerable adults, plus a character reference
- Enhanced DBS check (funded by Northern Healthcare)
