Support Worker (Personalised Care) – Full-time Permanent

Location: Tewkesbury, GL20 5RZ Salary: £26,728 - £28,100.80 per year

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed team supporting individuals in our brand new accommodation site in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. We are committed to providing personalised support that empowers individuals with complex needs to live independently and with dignity.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating the delivery of personalised, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, including those with:
    • Mental health diagnoses
    • Neurodiversity
    • Trauma backgrounds
  • Assisting clients in developing independent living skills, promoting dignity and social inclusion (e.g., cooking, attending appointments).
  • Supporting clients in community engagement through local activities.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to:
    • Implement tailored care plans
    • Monitor progress
    • Manage risks effectively
  • Ensuring safeguarding and health and safety compliance through accurate record-keeping.
  • Fostering compassionate engagement to build trust and achieve positive outcomes.

Essential Skills

We’re looking for candidates who:

  • Are empathetic, patient, and passionate about supporting individuals with mental health needs
  • Can confidently engage with people having neurodiversity or complex backgrounds
  • Have experience (or eagerness to learn) in therapeutic de-escalation and crisis intervention
  • Are adaptable, proactive, and can respond to changing needs
  • Are computer-literate, with confidence in Microsoft Office
