MEP BIM Technician
MEP BIM Technician – Birmingham
Location: Birmingham Type: Full-Time Permanent
About the Role
Join a leading architectural consultancy and become part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality projects across sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. As an MEP BIM Technician, you’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, and design professionals, contributing to the successful delivery of projects from concept to construction.
The role encompasses developing coordinated MEP BIM models, supporting documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and develop high-quality MEP BIM models using industry-standard software.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) services with architectural and structural models.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve design clashes.
- Generate detailed drawings and construction documentation.
- Ensure models meet BIM standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams throughout all project stages.
- Support continuous improvements to BIM processes and workflows.

About You
You’ll need:
- Experience as an MEP BIM Technician in a consultancy or building services environment.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP.
- A strong understanding of BIM Level 2/ISO 19650 standards and BIM coordination.
- Familiarity with Navisworks and other BIM coordination tools (advantageous).
- Detailed knowledge of building services design and construction.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive mindset with a sharp eye for detail.
