The Opportunity
My client is looking to appoint an experienced MEP Manager to oversee the successful delivery of all mechanical, electrical and public health services throughout the construction phase.
This is a site-based role for a hands-on MEP professional who enjoys being close to the works, driving quality and holding subcontractors accountable. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing installations, quality assurance, commissioning, and handover activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all MEP packages from installation through to practical completion
- Coordinate and manage mechanical and electrical subcontractors on site
- Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or risks
- Carry out regular quality inspections and ensure all installations comply with specifications and client requirements
- Lead QA processes, inspections, and snagging activities
- Review drawings, technical submissions, and design information
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities with specialist contractors
- Work closely with project management, commercial, and design teams
- Attend client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across all MEP works
- Support project handover and close-out activities

- Previous experience as an MEP Manager, Building Services Manager, or Senior MEP Project Manager
- Strong residential project experience on large-scale developments
- Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical building services
- Proven track record managing MEP packages through delivery and commissioning
- Extensive QA and quality management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to challenge subcontractors and drive performance on site
- Stable employment history and proven project delivery experience
