Description
We are looking for an MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Glasgow. You’ll be joining Soben at an exciting time, playing a key role in helping us achieve our ambitious growth targets. Supporting one of our key Construction clients in the region, you will be responsible for developing and implementing key procurement and commercial strategies across a range of projects in our business.
In this role you will:
Provide pre - and post-contract quantity surveying and commercial support for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across various projects. Develop accurate cost estimates for installations and upgrades, ensuring all system requirements are covered. Manage cost and change control processes, adjusting budgets as needed for design or scope changes. Communicate with clients to clarify requirements, provide updates, and maintain strong working relationships. Prepare and present detailed cost reports focusing on MEP-related expenses, offering financial insights for project tracking. Conduct monthly project evaluations to assess progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions. Oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance with terms and tracking deliverables from contractors. Handle change management processes, evaluating cost impacts, negotiating adjustments, and updating project documentation.

About you:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Engineering Experience using cost-estimating software and data modelling tools Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication/teamwork skills Data Centre industry experience
