Merchandising Coordinator

We're looking for a Merchandising Coordinator to join one of Europe's fastest-growing consumer brands as they continue to expand their UK retail presence.

The Role

Reporting to: Regional Manager

You'll take ownership of approximately 15-20 retail stores across your territory, ensuring every location delivers:

  • The highest possible merchandising standards
  • Maximum product availability
  • Peak commercial performance

This role transcends traditional merchandising responsibilities:

  • Link between store management, third-party merchandising partners, and the broader business
  • Ensuring stores align with the highest operational standards while identifying ways to enhance sales performance

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of the performance of ~15-20 retail stores within your region
  • Monitoring:
    • Sales performance
    • Merchandising standards
    • Product availability
  • Ensuring third-party merchandising teams deliver consistent excellence in-store
  • Coaching, supporting, and providing performance feedback to merchandising teams
  • Building strong working relationships with store management
  • Identifying operational issues affecting store performance and developing solutions
  • Monitoring compliance with:
    • Merchandising standards
    • Planograms
    • Promotional activities
  • Using sales data and performance insights to pinpoint improvement opportunities
  • Managing store visit schedules and journey planning across your region
  • Serving as the primary point of contact between:
    • Stores
    • Merchandising partners
    • The broader business
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across your territory

Requirements

  • Previous experience in:
    • Merchandising
    • Retail operations
    • Store management
    • Visual merchandising
    • Field sales
  • Familiarity with fast-paced retail or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environments
  • Skilled in:
    • Relationship-building
    • Stakeholder management
  • Comfortable coaching, influencing, and improving the performance of others
  • Highly organised with strong:
    • Planning
    • Prioritisation skills
  • Commercially-minded with the ability to:
    • Interpret store performance
    • Identify opportunity areas
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and confident to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to “get hands-on”
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Access to a vehicle
  • (Business travel requirement)
