Merchandise Manager
We are seeking a creative, highly organised and detail-oriented Merchandise Manager to join Belmond’s Creative team.
This role will support the development of merchandise and branded products across Belmond’s global portfolio, helping build our property brands into distinctive, desirable brands in their own right. Working closely with divisions, properties, suppliers and production partners, the Merchandise Manager will deliver products that feel rooted in place while meeting a consistent Belmond standard of quality, creativity and design.
The role combines creativity with product development and project management. From property-branded products and guest touchpoints to capsule collections created with leading voices in fashion and design, the successful candidate will help turn merchandise into a tactile extension of the Belmond brand.
Product Development and Management
- Property-Branded Products: Develop clear guidelines, criteria and quality controls for property-branded products, raising the standard across Belmond’s retail spaces and ensuring each item feels distinctive, desirable and rooted in place.
- Product Development: Manage products from concept through sourcing, sampling, refinement and production, coordinating feedback between designers, suppliers, producers and internal stakeholders.
- Supplier and Production Management: Build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, managing quotations, samples, production schedules, quality checks and delivery requirements.
- Property and Divisional Support: Work closely with divisions and properties to understand requirements, advise on assortments and identify suitable suppliers and production solutions.
- Quality Control: Maintain a strong eye for materials, finishes, construction, typography, colour and detail, ensuring every product reflects Belmond’s standards.
Brand Merchandise Evolution
- Brand Collaborations: Support the development of capsule collections with leading tastemakers, designers and creative partners, translating creative concepts into desirable and commercially viable products.
- Elevated Guest Journey: Help bring Belmond’s Slow Luxury experience to life through distinctive property brands and guest-facing touchpoints.
- Property Brand Development: Work with the creative team to manage and develop guidelines, toolkits, logos, emblems and brand codes for individual properties, ensuring they are applied consistently and imaginatively.
- Cultural Relevance: Bring knowledge of contemporary fashion, design, hospitality and culture, helping Belmond create products that generate desirability, conversation and a wider brand halo.
- Impactful Communication: Understanding of how best to communicate and amplify iconic collaborations through storytelling and content

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

About Us
Belmond was born from a passion for connecting discerning travellers with the world’s most remarkable properties, locations and journeys. From hotels and trains to river cruises and safari lodges, Belmond’s Slow Luxury invites guests to discover a new pace of travel as they savour time, engage with local culture, and connect with nature and people around them through incomparable experiences and unforgettable stories. With a legacy spanning over 45 years, since the acquisition of Hotel Cipriani in Venice in 1976, Belmond has grown into a global collection of 43 properties spread across 24 countries and territories. Exceptional destinations connected by legendary journeys are the very soul of Belmond, where the path that brings you to a place is as important as the destination itself. A pioneer of slow travel, Belmond has been operating the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express since 1982. Belmond later expanded to include pristine beach resorts, such as Maroma on the Riviera Maya, historic hideaways such as Villa San Michele in the Florentine foothills, urbane icons, such as Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro, and gateways to UNESCO world heritage sites, such as Hotel das Cataratas in Brazil’s Iguassu National Park. As proud custodians of storied properties, Belmond is committed to building on the past to create a new legacy: the heritage of the future. Working with communities and local talents, together with the world’s most respected chefs, designers and artists, Belmond continues its purpose of perpetuating the legendary art of travel. Since 2019, Belmond has been part of the world’s leading luxury group, LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton).
