Planner (Open Position) – Ralph Lauren Corporation

About the Role
This Planner position drives departmental performance through commercial analysis, financial planning, forecasting, and inventory management. The role requires cross-functional collaboration to implement strategy and achieve key business KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Operation & Financial Leadership
- Critically analyses trade reports, applying expertise to influence forecasting, promotional planning, and markdown decisions (MD Planning)
- Shapes trade actions that drive division/channel performance
- Optimises line card processes and communicates impacts on department KPIs to stakeholders
- Ensures KPI opportunities are maximised while minimising risks via successful WSSI (Weekly Sales & Stock Planning) management
- Translates long-term sales plans into actionable department KPIs
- Oversees inventory management, collaborating cross-functionally to reach end-of-season stock targets and average cost turns
- Uses hindsight assessment to build robust financial foundations for strategy planning
- Partners with buying equivalents to formulate department strategy while assessing risks and solutions
- Owns OTB (Opening To Buy) processes, aligning buying strategies to meet KPIs in dynamic, opportunistic ways
- Manages seasonal markdowns and ensures store communication
- Prioritises tasks efficiently and sets departmental objectives
