About the Role
We're looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Merchandiser to join our Trading & Merchandise team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandiser who is ready to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced retail environment.
Working closely with our Range Managers and fellow Merchandisers, you'll play a key role in developing and delivering the seasonal trading strategy. You'll use data-driven insights to maximise sales, optimise stock, and ensure our customers have the right products at the right time.

The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, working full-time 36.5 hours per week, hybrid (Monday & Friday from home and Tuesday to Thursday in the Bingley office).
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of designated product categories, managing budgets and delivering profitable trading strategies.
- Proactively manage and trade your categories to achieve and exceed key sales, margin and stock KPIs.
- Analyse product and range performance, providing accurate forecasting, reporting and commercial recommendations.
- Produce and maintain demand forecasts to optimise stock availability while minimising excess inventory.
- Ensure effective stock management through robust planning and WSSI management.
- Work collaboratively with UK and international suppliers to maximise product availability and improve service levels.
- Identify risks and opportunities relating to sales, stock and supply chain performance, recommending appropriate actions.
- Build strong relationships across Buying, Supply Chain and the wider Trading team to deliver business objectives.

About You
You'll be commercially aware, analytical and passionate about retail. You'll enjoy working with data to influence decisions and be confident building relationships across a variety of stakeholders.
You'll also have:
- Previous merchandising experience within a retail environment.
- Experience managing a WSSI, line cards and forecasting processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The confidence to challenge constructively and influence decisions using data.
- Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive approach with the ability to adapt in a fast-moving trading environment.
