Merchandiser

Merchandiser Opportunity | Manchester Based | Flexi Working | Strong Bonus Scheme | Beautiful Product | Global Growth

I am currently working on behalf of a highly successful and fast-scaling fashion business to appoint a Merchandiser into their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven merchandising professional to join a dynamic, digital-first retailer with an impressive growth trajectory. The business operates in a fast-paced, trend-focused environment and is looking for someone who can combine strong analytical capability with confident decision-making to support both trading performance and longer-term planning.

The successful candidate will take ownership of key merchandising activities across stock management, trade performance, forecasting and strategic planning, while working closely with a number of cross-functional stakeholders across the business.

The opportunity:

This role will suit an experienced Merchandiser who is comfortable operating at pace, using data to inform decisions and taking a proactive approach to both opportunity and risk. It offers strong visibility across the wider business and the chance to make a genuine impact on commercial performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead seasonal reviews and post-season analysis, using trading insight to shape future merchandising strategy and improve overall product performance.
  • Own weekly trade reporting, identifying key risks, opportunities and emerging trends, and making clear recommendations to drive sales and margin.
  • Monitor best sellers, slow movers and potential stock issues, taking timely action to protect performance and minimise missed opportunity.
  • Manage stock intake and availability through effective use of WSSI, ensuring stock is balanced against demand and performance targets.
  • Take ownership of OTB management, helping to control spend, support intake decisions and maintain flexibility within the departmental plan.
  • Support markdown, promotional and exit strategies, working closely with senior merchandising leadership to manage stock efficiently through the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with Design and Product teams to ensure merchandise planning aligns with seasonal direction, customer demand and commercial objectives.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and suppliers to support timely delivery, stock flow and cost efficiency, particularly around key launches and trading periods.
  • Collaborate with teams across E-commerce, Marketing and Finance to ensure merchandising decisions are aligned with wider business goals.
  • Provide guidance and day-to-day support to junior team members, helping to prioritise workload and maintain strong operational delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
