Merchandiser in Android and Wearables Team
About the Role Join our Merchandising teams within the Android and Wearables department as a strategic Merchandiser. You’ll use your expertise to plan and optimise product ranges that deliver meticulous KPIs—including sales, profit, stock, SKUs, availability, margin, and risk management—while maximising opportunities throughout the trading season.
You’ll work closely with Buyers to develop attractive ranges with range planning and pricing architecture, ensuring market-leading assortments. As a People Manager for your Merchandising Assistants, you’ll create a supportive environment while balancing priorities.
Additionally, you may be responsible for category-wide oversight, ensuring high strategic importance and complexity products drive customer satisfaction and meet commercial goals.
Key Details
- Salary: £55,600 – £84,100 per annum
- Expected starting salary: £55,600 – £61,000 (depending on experience)
- Contract: Permanent
- Working pattern: Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in the London Central Office, Pimlico)
- Location: Head Office, Pimlico
Roles & Responsibilities
Your primary focus will include:
- Sales, stock, profit, and SKU forecasting, reporting directly to the Merchandising Manager and Trade Planning.
- Driving range planning and in-season trading activity to enhance customer success, supported by Product Operations analytics.
- Managing stock flow through your team, maintaining inventory levels, controlling Open to Buy, and balancing availabilities optimisation against supply chain costs.
- Collaborating across disciplines—excluding Merchandising Manager, Buyers, Head of Merchandising, Supply Chain, Trade Planning, Sourcing, Trading & Product Operations, Design, and Product Technology.
- Maintaining strong supplier and brand relationships externally.
- KPI forecasting, including sales, stock, and margin, defining open-to-buy parameters to meet targets.
- Leading season trading decisions, volume management, commercial negotiation, and supplier lifecycle collaboration.
- Supporting Head of Buying and Head of Merchandising with category-wide reporting.
- Managing and coaching Merchandising Assistants, ensuring their development and performance alignment.

Essential Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re seeking:
- Proven experience in forecasting & planning, WSSI management, and stakeholder influencing.
- Industry experience specifically in Tech and Wearables merchandising.
- Strong knowledge of assortment planning and stock control methodologies.
- Advanced analytical & numerical skills, alongside Microsoft Excel proficiency (or Tableau alternatives).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both internally and externally.
- Retail operations and supply chain management understanding.
- A proactive approach to learning & development.
