Merchandiser
Merchandiser – M&S Jewellery
Location: Billericay, DCK
About Us
DCK is one of the world’s leading fashion jewellery companies, collaborating with top retailers and high-street brands such as River Island, M&S, Matalan, Next, and Tesco.
We’re seeking a Merchandiser to join our dynamic Merchandising team in shaping the M&S Jewellery account.
Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning:
- Collaborate with Buying, Design, and Host teams to define the brand’s vision and forward-thinking initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Oversee critical path timelines and key milestone deadlines, aligning workflows with both M&S and DCK priorities.
- Drive profitability-focused Building Blocks and Strategy while adhering to host partnerships’ goals.

Assortment & Financial Oversight:
- Develop profitability-driven assortment plans, including Building Blocks, BEVs (Best Ever Values), and phasing—balancing newness, repeat sales, and sell-through metrics.
- Sign off departments’ strategies and budgets with senior management.
- Use analytical tools to identify trends and propose solutions to realise full brand potential.

Seasonal & BOSS (Buyer Operating System of Sales) Planning:
- Execute seasonal planning—assortment, option, and range planning—optimising newness, grading, and options with clarity.
- Align all activities with total and branch stock requirements, reflecting Fluro Par (FP) and Markdown Department (MD) targets.
- Conduct real-time in-season forecasting, adjusting OTB (On-Time Balance) and OTC (On-Time Commitments) based on trading data.

Performance & Data-Driven Decision-Making:
- Gather host insights (footfall, shopper trends, business changes) and present actionable recommendations.
- Reforecast sales, stock, intake, and markdowns using WSSI (Weekly Sales Stock and Income) data.
- Highlight margin risks and recommend corrective measures.

Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage staff by ensuring clear priorities and encouraging consistent processes.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accessibility, and accountability through 1-1 coaching and feedback.
- Support career growth, guiding team members towards long-term success within DCK.
