MERCHANDISER / PRODUCT DEVELOPER - ACCESSORIES

Merchandiser with Product Development North Manchester | Full-time, Permanent

This textile based business, with four established accessories brands distribute throughout Europe and as a result of continued success they seek a Merchandiser to support the delivery of commercially successful collections. You’ll manage the product development process from design handover to bulk production, ensuring timelines, quality, cost, and compliance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development critical path through to product launch
  • Coordinate samples, approvals, testing, and production milestones
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and manage communication
  • Maintain accurate product data, pricing, and specifications
  • Monitor costs and support commercially viable solutions
  • Collaborate with Design, Sourcing, QC, and Marketing teams
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery

About You

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in merchandising, product development, and / or sourcing
  • Strong knowledge of critical paths, supplier management, and product specs
  • Highly organised, commercially aware, and detail-focused
  • Confident communicator with strong Excel and MS Office skills
  • Experience with ERP systems; Illustrator/AI knowledge beneficial
  • Willing to travel overseas when required

Desirable

  • Experience in apparel or textile based products
  • Knowledge of sustainable materials and compliance processes
