Position Overview
Merchandising Execution Associates (MEAs) perform in-store merchandising service activities such as:
- Merchandising projects
- Planogram maintenance
- Overhead organisation
- Display/signage maintenance
These roles are designed to enhance the customer experience. MEAs:
- Execute merchandising strategies
- Ensure product is displayed correctly
- Drive sales and maximise inventory turns
- Work in teams under on-site supervision
- Provide service across multiple departments
Associates execute approved general bay services, tasking, projects, and resets safely, accurately, and efficiently. They must build and maintain strong relationships with store associates while delivering superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising
- General Service, Tasking, Packdown & Projects
- Interpret directions to ensure products are set according to:
- Planograms
- Project instructions
- Any additional service requirements or guidelines
- Straighten, clean, and present products in a visually appealing way
- Maintain a copy of the most recent planogram near the upright beam of each product set
- Build and assemble displays using basic hand tools
- Install and maintain signage, display materials, and brochures
- Follow directional processes for:
- Price & label changes
- Replacement of incorrect, damaged, or missing labels
- Keep aisles clean and merchandise well-organised
- Access merchandising reports via store systems, interpret findings, and execute necessary actions
- Maintain bay service records and documentation
- Complete one-off projects, as required by local, district, or regional leadership

Customer Service
- Maintain aisle cleanliness to ensure:
- Merchandise access
- Smooth customer flow
- Partner with store leadership to markdown damaged or unsellable merchandise
- Respond to customer product and store-related questions
- Assist customers in locating necessary products
- Collaborate confidently with store associates
Other Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of returned/damaged items with store representatives, ensuring correct Return to Vendor processes
- Follow safety policies and procedures
- Complete required training
- Undertake tasks as assigned

Structure & Reporting
- Reports directly to: Merchandising Execution Supervisor (MEAS)
- No travel expected for this role
Physical & Environmental Demands
Associates must be capable of:
- Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects
- Operating within a flexible schedule, typically starting early in the morning
- Comfort in a warehouse environment, which can be dusty and noisy
- Working in open-door conditions, including variations in interior temperature
Requirements/Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED (minimum)
- Experience: 1 year of relevant work preferred (academic or professional)
- Leadership/Technical Certifications: None required
