M&A Director – Hybrid Role (2 Days in Birmingham)
SF Search Partners are supporting a high-growth, PE-backed business looking to appoint its first dedicated M&A hire. The business has thrived through organic growth and is now focusing on acceleration via acquisition in a fragmented market ripe for consolidation.
About the Role
Working closely with the CEO, CFO, and investors, you will:
- Build and deliver the acquisition strategy.
- Focus on the front-end deal process.

Responsibilities
- Build and manage a pipeline of acquisition targets
- Develop relationships with founders, owners, and advisors
- Identify and assess acquisition opportunities
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations
- Manage transactions from initial approach to completion
- Collaborate closely with the executive team and investors
- Support post-acquisition integration

Requirements
We seek candidates with:
- Experience in acquisitive high-growth or PE-backed businesses
- A demonstrable track record of sourcing and delivering successful acquisition pipelines
- Within a professional services setting
Travel Requirement
Hybrid role: Must commit to a minimum of 2 days per week in Birmingham.
