ROLE OVERVIEW
Job Title: Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Manager
Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid)
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Chief Investment Officer (CIO)
Core Focus: End-to-end management of the M&A transaction lifecycle across domestic (UK) and international real estate and corporate investment portfolios.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deal Origination & Sourcing: Formulate and maintain a robust pipeline of high-yield investment opportunities. Cultivate and leverage strategic relationships with corporate/property developers, investment funds, lenders, investment banks, brokers, and institutional investors. Actively originate proprietary off-market and cross-border transactions.
- Deal Evaluation & Financial Modelling: Lead preliminary commercial assessments, construct sophisticated financial models, execute asset/corporate valuations, and perform rigorous risk analyses (covering tax, legal, and operational dimensions).
- Due Diligence Coordination: Manage comprehensive due diligence (DD) workflows, seamlessly coordinating with elite external advisors including legal counsels, accountants, chartered surveyors, and corporate finance specialists.
- Transaction Execution & Integration: Drive negotiations for Heads of Terms, Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), and Shareholders' Agreements. Oversee post-merger integration (PMI) to ensure the realization of targeted synergies, asset optimization, and maximum shareholder returns.
- Portfolio Management & Strategic Planning: Monitor asset performance against investment benchmarks (target IRR and underwriting models). Evaluate and recommend refinancing, restructuring, or divestment strategies, while actively contributing to long-term capital allocation frameworks.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Professional Experience:
- 3–5+ years of extensive experience within Corporate M&A, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Real Estate Investment, or Transaction Advisory.
- Prior experience within Investment Banking is highly preferred.
- A proven track record of successfully executing complex corporate or property transactions from inception to close within the UK market.
- Deep institutional knowledge of the UK real estate investment landscape, transaction structuring, and UK company law.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, corporate valuation methodologies, and capital structuring (debt and equity instruments).
- Exceptional negotiation prowess, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to make high-stakes decisions under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Real Estate, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Professional designations such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly advantageous.

- Growth in Assets Under Management (AUM) and overall portfolio value creation.
