Hours & Shift Details
- Permanent/Part-Time: 16 hours per week
- Pattern: 4 days out of 7, Monday to Friday (with weekend availability)
- Shift lengths: 4-hour shifts
About the Role
Looking to contribute to quality patient-focused services while balancing work around your lifestyle? We’re recruiting a Mess Steward to join our team at Weeton Barracks, Preston.
Your responsibilities will include supporting high standards in laundry, accommodation, mess-room services, and janitorial duties, while always prioritising health, safety, and Environment triggers.

What You’ll Do
You’ll support our team through:
- Serving food and beverages to customers
- Cash handling, till operation, and occasional bar duties
- General housekeeping:
- Kitchen cleaning
- Pot washing and dishwashing duties
- Stock rotation (FIFO method)
- Reporting any issues (complaints, suggestions, faults, breakages, hazards) to your line manager as needed
Note: Duties may vary to meet service demands.

What We’re Looking For
- Holding or applying for UK residency for the last three years
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks
- (Previous experience is a plus but not essential – full training provided!)
