About ABL 1 Touch

Role Overview

As an MET Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all vehicle repairs are completed safely, accurately, and to manufacturer and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting vehicle structure, mechanical components, and paintwork
  • Ensuring vehicles meet all safety requirements prior to handover
  • Removing, storing, and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components
  • Safely handling and disposing of vehicle fluids and gases
  • Reassembling vehicles following repair, carrying out detailed quality checks
  • Performing 4-wheel alignments where required
  • Completing quality control checks, final sign-off, and ATA documentation
  • Identifying and reporting faults or additional repair requirements
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment
  • Following approved repair methods and ensuring documentation is accurate and visible
  • Carrying out vehicle safety checks, beam settings, and recording warnings on job cards
  • Ensuring all safety-critical components are fitted and torqued to specification

Skills and Experience Required

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in motor vehicle body repair
  • Auto electrical qualifications and practical experience
  • Knowledge of computerised wheel alignment systems
  • Strong mechanical and suspension knowledge
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Recognised Air Conditioning and Encapsulated Glass training (preferred)
  • A flexible, team-focused approach with a positive attitude
  • High levels of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail
