Opportunity for a MET Technician at Yeovil Accident Repair
This is a hands-on role where you will remove, repair and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles, helping to ensure every vehicle is repaired safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Remove, refit and repair mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles.
- Dismantle and reassemble vehicles safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer repair methods.
- Identify and report any additional damage, faults or required parts during the repair process.
- Use technical data, job cards and diagnostic information to complete repairs accurately.
- Complete job documentation, recording parts, materials and time used on each repair.
- Ensure vehicles are repaired to a high standard and meet safety requirements before return to customers.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area, following health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Work closely with the Bodyshop Manager, Workshop Controller and wider repair team to support efficient workflow.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an MET Technician, Vehicle Technician or in a similar accident repair/bodyshop role.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic knowledge.
- Good attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality repairs.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
- A team-focused approach and good communication skills.
- ATA or IMI accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred.

Hours of work:
- Mon - Thurs 07.30 - 17.30
- Fri 07.30 - 16.30
A uniform will be provided.
