Company Description

Instant Marquees Ltd – Pop ups & Event Branding manufactures and prints professional grade pop-up gazebos and a wide range of promotional and experiential marketing products, including flags, banners, and parasols. Production takes place at our factory in Cornwall, where we focus on quality, durability, and strong visual impact.

We have partnered with leading UK brands such as Nike, Orange, Microsoft, AEG, Guinness, and Muc-Off, delivering custom-branded solutions for events and campaigns. Our work helps clients showcase their brands effectively to their target audiences and stand out at events. Team members contribute directly to creating products that support high-profile marketing and branding initiatives.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Metal Fabricator role based at our facility in Camelford. The Metal Fabricator will be responsible for cutting, drilling, and assembling metal components used in the frames and structures of pop-up gazebos and other event branding products.

  • Operating metalworking machinery
  • Using hand and power tools to fabricate and finish components
  • Performing basic grinding and deburring to ensure quality and safety

The role involves working from technical drawings or work instructions, measuring materials accurately, and performing routine equipment checks. The Metal Fabricator will collaborate with production and print teams to meet deadlines, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

  • Practical experience in metalworking, including cutting, forming, and assembling metal components.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a fabrication environment.
  • Experience with finishing processes to prepare and refine metal surfaces.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment (forklift certification is an advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail, measurement accuracy, and quality control in a workshop setting.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, or physical products.
  • Commitment to health and safety best practices, including PPE usage and safe machine operation.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across production functions.
  • Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar industrial role is preferred.
