About the Role

As a Fabricator Welder, you will be responsible for cutting, assembling, and welding structural steel components used in a variety of projects, including buildings, staircases, balustrades, platforms, bridges, and industrial structures. Working from technical drawings and specifications, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality fabricated products that meet exacting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read and accurately interpret technical and engineering drawings.
  • Fabricate and assemble structural steel components, including UBs, UCs, PFCs, CHSs, and similar sections.
  • Carry out cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding activities to specification.
  • Safely operate fabrication machinery, hand tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Ensure all fabricated work meets dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
  • Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Wear and maintain the correct PPE at all times.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures and workshop regulations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
