This is an opportunity to support one of the world's fastest-growing construction machinery manufacturers.
Backed by a multi-billion-dollar global manufacturer, our UK operation is expanding rapidly within the Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) sector. As our customer base continues to grow across the UK, we are investing in our aftersales service capability to deliver exceptional technical support and customer service.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated MEWP Service Engineer to join our growing aftersales team.
Your Mission
You will play a vital role in supporting our customers by delivering high-quality service and technical expertise across the XCMG MEWP product range. This means:
- Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs on XCMG MEWPs at customer sites and other locations
- Completing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and commissioning of new machines
- Performing machine modifications, software updates and technical improvement campaigns in accordance with factory requirements
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults efficiently
- Supporting both diesel, hybrid and fully electric MEWP products
- Completing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Working closely with the Parts, Technical Support and Sales teams to ensure excellent customer service
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and industry standards
- Building strong customer relationships and representing XCMG professionally at all times

You will work independently across your assigned region while receiving full support from our UK technical team and global factory specialists.
Who You Are
You are an experienced field service engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and delivering outstanding customer service. You bring:
- Proven experience servicing MEWPs, construction equipment, plant machinery or related mobile equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Experience carrying out fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance
- Experience completing PDI and machine commissioning
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK

The Following Would Be Advantageous
- IPAF qualification
- CAP inspection experience
- Experience working with electric MEWPs
- OEM dealer or manufacturer service experience
- Knowledge of CAN Bus diagnostic systems
- Experience using manufacturer diagnostic software
