Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (French & Spanish) – Permanent Role
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Start Date: After October Half-Term
Contract: Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
About the Role
Quantum Scholars is partnering with a co-educational secondary school in Buckinghamshire, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, to hire a qualified and experienced Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL).
This thriving school is known for its supportive community, high expectations, and dedication to helping students succeed academically and personally. The MFL department is seeking a teacher to deliver French and Spanish across:
- Key Stages 3 & 4 (primary role)
- Key Stage 5 (opportunity for the right applicant)

- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in French and Spanish (KS3/KS4)
- Plan, prepare, and assess teaching aligns with the national curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for student progress
- Monitor & assess learning, offering constructive feedback to students
- Contribute to the MFL department’s continued success and innovation
- Engage in school life, including meetings, parents’ evenings, and enrichment activities
Requirements
You must meet the following criteria:
- Qualification:
- holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience:
- significant teaching experience in French and Spanish within a UK secondary school
- Knowledge & Passion:
- deep subject knowledge in modern languages
- a commitment to language learning and linguistic diversification
- Skills:
- Excellent classroom management
- Strong communication with students, colleagues, and parents
- Ability to raise achievement for all abilities
- Collaborative spirit within an established department
- Eligibility:
- Full Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available for this role)
