Overall Purpose

Creative, tenacious, success orientated with a ‘Client-First’ mindset and thrive on creating imaginative solutions and campaigns with tight deadlines. Drive to contribute to the sales process including pitching and converting of projects.

Imagine, create and implement business winning solutions that exceed client expectations – Key to this role is the tenacity and drive of the post-holder to understand client needs and requirements and to fashion solutions that enthuses clients to place their faith in Red Blaze.

Take full responsibility for the management and delivery of programmes for your assigned Accounts – To ‘own’ all aspects of each programme and be the natural first point of contact for key suppliers, colleagues, and clients through to delivery, which will include UK and Overseas events.

Be accountable for the delivery of gross margin goals from an assigned portfolio of programmes – To manage internal and external resources to achieve gross margin goals whilst maintaining maximum participant and client satisfaction.

To work with colleagues to develop your assigned accounts – Working alongside our Account Directors, to maximise the lifetime value of each client in your portfolio through your ability to continuously and successfully translate their needs into exciting and innovative deliverable solutions.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven experience in event project management, ideally within the MICE sector
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail – you love a good plan!
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Sales and Conversion skills for new and existing projects
  • Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively
  • Comfortable using event management software, CRMs and Microsoft Office
  • A team player with a proactive mindset – and a sense of humour is a must!
  • A strong analytical mind and able to successfully communicate complex solutions to clients
  • Willing to put in the hours and effort to make the project perfect
  • Have a full UK Driving License

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Be a persuasive advocate for the company at all times with clients and partners
  • Successfully develop and manage programmes, maximising opportunities to up & cross sell
  • Achieve gross margin goals from a defined portfolio of programmes
  • Provide creative input throughout the process including at creation stage
  • Initial research and proposal writing in accordance with the client brief
  • Creating, planning and end-to-end delivery of impeccable client programmes
  • Liaising, negotiating, and contracting external resources including DMCs, Hotels, Production Companies, Designers and other providers whilst building sustainable and productive relationships
  • Ensure all programmes are compliant with Red Blaze and client policies in terms of risk, data security, sustainability and inclusion
  • Where required to either directly manage or be part of a larger team on site
  • Provide professional guidance and support to colleagues within the business
  • Handling multiple projects at once with precision and a positive attitude
  • Ensuring that programmes are compliant with Health & Safety and Data Security legislation
  • Accountable, with colleagues, for the achievement of repeat business goals from a defined client portfolio and new business goals alongside the business development team

Additional Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Weekly, monthly and quarterly internal reporting and team meetings as required
  • Ongoing personal development in line with Company programs, standards and protocols
  • Personal and ongoing professional development
  • Ensuring all paperwork/deliverables are produced in line with Company standards
  • Contribute to the Company’s marketing activity, including providing content for digital marketing platforms
  • Relevant updating and maintenance of the Company’s records in terms of suppliers and service providers
  • Relevant updating of the Company’s CRM system
