Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Microbiologist to join a leading pharmaceutical quality control team based in our client's state-of-the-art facilities. This exciting opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about microbiology and quality assurance within a regulated environment.
An exciting opportunity for a Microbiologist to join a vibrant and innovative pharmaceutical organisation, contributing to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in microbiological testing and laboratory operations.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Your duties as the Microbiologist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- To manage the microbiological laboratory ensuring timely testing and reliable data generation.
- Assisting the QC Manager in developing and implementing robust working practices within the laboratory environment.
- Performing microbiological tests in compliance with cGMP, HSE, and internal procedures to ensure data integrity and quality.
- Recording, analysing, and interpreting microbiological data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
- As the Microbiologist, you will ensure equipment maintenance, internal audits, and support root cause investigations for identified deviations.

Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Microbiologist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience in performing microbiological testing within a GMP or highly regulated laboratory environment.
- Strong understanding of data integrity principles, GMP, and health and safety standards.
- Capable of performing root cause analysis, investigations, and handling Out of Specification (OOS) results effectively.
