About the Opportunity

CY Partners is recruiting for a QC Microbiology Analyst to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation. You’ll work within the QC Microbiology Release Team, ensuring the quality and safety of sterile pharmaceutical products through microbiological testing in a GMP-regulated laboratory.

This role suits:

  • Recent Life Sciences graduates with laboratory experience
  • Experienced QC Microbiologists seeking career development in global pharmaceutical and regulated environments

The Role

As a QC Microbiology Analyst, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out sterility testing and endotoxin testing on finished sterile products
  • Adhering to GMP regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times
  • Maintaining excellent aseptic technique during laboratory work
  • Conducting multi-day microbiological test methods and accurately recording results
  • Utilising laboratory systems (SAP, LIMS, LES) to document testing and maintain data integrity
  • Supporting the wider QC Microbiology team to ensure timely product release

About You

Essential Requirements

  • A degree in Microbiology, Life Sciences discipline, or related field
  • Strong understanding of microbiology principles
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow written procedures precisely
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in a GMP or pharmaceutical QC laboratory
  • Hands-on experience with sterility testing and/or endotoxin testing
  • Practical aseptic laboratory techniques
  • Knowledge of data integrity requirements in regulated settings
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIMS, SAP, LES)

  • Recent graduates with relevant:
    • Laboratory work experience
    • Industrial placement or internship experience
  • Experienced QC Microbiology Technicians or Analysts (any lab background considered):
    • Pharmaceutical/GMP laboratories
    • Food microbiology or food testing laboratories
    • Hospital/clinical laboratories
    • General QC Laboratory Analyst roles
