This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Microsoft 365 Product Owner based in United Kingdom.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Microsoft 365 professional to lead the strategy, governance, and evolution of a modern digital workplace across a global organization. In this role, you will take ownership of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, driving collaboration, productivity, security, and user adoption through a structured and business-focused approach. You'll work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments to implement scalable governance frameworks, champion AI-powered capabilities, and deliver meaningful workplace improvements. Combining technical expertise with change management, you'll ensure new technologies are adopted successfully while maintaining compliance and operational excellence. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping digital transformation initiatives and creating lasting business impact in a remote-first environment.
Accountabilities
- Own the roadmap, strategy, and continuous improvement of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Microsoft Copilot, Entra ID, and related collaboration services.
- Design, implement, and maintain governance frameworks, policies, naming conventions, and best practices to ensure a scalable, secure, and compliant Microsoft 365 environment.
- Lead the rollout and adoption of Microsoft Copilot by identifying valuable business use cases, measuring adoption, and optimizing user experiences based on feedback.
- Establish and manage information protection and compliance initiatives using Microsoft Purview, including data loss prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, retention policies, and governance controls.
- Oversee collaboration tools, integrations, permissions, applications, and productivity features to optimize the digital workplace experience.
- Drive user adoption through effective change management, including communication strategies, training sessions, documentation, and ongoing engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize improvements, align technology initiatives with business objectives, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and productivity gains.
- Monitor platform performance, governance effectiveness, and user adoption metrics to continuously enhance the Microsoft 365 environment.

Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 environments in a Product Owner, Lead, Consultant, or similar strategic role.
- Strong technical expertise across Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, and related Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience designing and implementing governance frameworks, compliance policies, and scalable operating models for enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Purview capabilities, including data classification, data loss prevention, sensitivity labeling, and retention management.
- Familiarity with Power Automate and broader Microsoft 365 automation capabilities.
- Proven experience leading Microsoft 365 migrations, platform rollouts, or enterprise-wide adoption initiatives.
- Strong change management skills with experience developing training materials, driving user engagement, and increasing technology adoption.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional fluency in English is required; German language skills are considered an advantage.
- Eligibility to work remotely from Germany.
