Microsoft 365 Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to shape how a large public organisation safely adopts AI, automation and Microsoft 365 at scale? Then this is your opportunity to lead innovation that directly improves services, unlocks productivity and ensures technology is used securely, responsibly and to maximum impact across East Sussex.

This is a pivotal specialist role leading the design, implementation and governance of Microsoft 365, including Copilot, Fabric and the Power Platform, to modernise services and enable safe digital innovation. You will act as the Council’s subject matter expert, ensuring Microsoft 365 and AI capabilities are deployed securely, integrated effectively and governed in line with information governance and security requirements.

Working across technology, data and business change, you will drive productivity improvements, manage technical risk and support the adoption of emerging capabilities, helping the Council realise value from its digital investment.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have proven experience administering and configuring Microsoft 365 services in an enterprise environment, including governance, security and compliance.
  • Can translate business needs into secure, scalable Microsoft 365 and automation solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to manage technical risk and complex issues.
  • Can plan, prioritise and manage competing workloads, often to short deadlines.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a wide range of audiences and build strong collaborative relationships.
  • Understand data protection legislation, governance and compliance requirements.
  • Are motivated to support innovation, including AI, automation and digital transformation across services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
