Microsoft Alliance Consultant

Oaka Studio | Remote (UK) with regular client and event travel | Full time

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

You're probably the person everyone comes to when Partner Center has had another issue...

the one who knows where Microsoft has hidden the latest incentive rules. The one who can explain the difference between PAL, CPOR, DPOR, MCI, designations and specialisations without making people's eyes glaze over.

If that's you, keep reading.

About Oaka Studio

At Oaka, we help Microsoft partners grow. Sometimes that means helping them build a commercial strategy. Sometimes it means improving their go-to-market. Sometimes it means getting them on stage at events.

But before any of that can happen, the foundations need to be right and that's where this role comes in.

We help partners navigate Microsoft's ever-changing partner programmes so they don't leave money on the table, miss opportunities or spend six months arguing with support over something that should have taken six minutes.

We're known for telling partners what they actually need to hear, not what sounds good in a PowerPoint. We know the Microsoft ecosystem inside out, we roll our sleeves up and we become an extension of our clients' teams.

Demand for this part of our business has grown quickly, so we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys solving the weird and wonderful challenges that come with Microsoft's partner programmes.

What you'll be doing

You'll own the operational side of Microsoft's partner ecosystem for a portfolio of clients. That means you'll be the person making sure everything behind the scenes is working as it should, while also becoming a trusted adviser to the partners you support.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

A typical week could include:

  • Managing Partner Center for multiple Microsoft partners.
  • Supporting CPOR, PAL and DPOR claims.
  • Managing MCI enrolment, incentive claims, earnings reviews and co-op funding.
  • Helping clients achieve and maintain their Solutions Partner designations and specialisations.
  • Planning certification journeys and tracking points.
  • Publishing and troubleshooting offers on the Microsoft commercial marketplace.
  • Running weekly client meetings, fortnightly Partner Centre surgeries and monthly governance sessions.
  • Raising, managing and escalating Microsoft support tickets until they're resolved (or you've found a better workaround).
  • Spotting missed funding opportunities before deadlines disappear.
  • Working alongside the wider Oaka team to improve our services, contribute ideas, support events and occasionally help with award submissions or community initiatives.

This isn't a back-office administration role, you'll be working directly with clients every day, helping them make sense of Microsoft's latest changes and giving them confidence that someone has their back.

We'd love to hear from you if...

  • You've worked inside a Microsoft partner before and were the person everyone relied on for Partner Center.
  • You already understand most of the following:
    • Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program
    • Solutions Partner designations
    • Specialisations
    • CSP incentives
    • MCI
    • Co-op funding
    • Microsoft commercial marketplace

You don't need to know absolutely everything (none of us ever do because Microsoft changes the rules every five minutes), but you should know where to look and enjoy figuring things out.

You'll also be:

  • Comfortable leading client meetings on your own.
  • Highly organised and able to juggle multiple clients without dropping the ball.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Naturally curious.
  • Someone who explains complicated things simply instead of hiding behind Microsoft terminology.
  • The sort of person who enjoys solving problems rather than complaining about them.

Bonus points if you've also worked with...

  • CSP transitions
  • Microsoft distributors
  • Microsoft funding programmes
  • Microsoft field teams
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications

None of those are deal-breakers.

What you'll get

  • A genuinely flexible, remote-first role.
  • The chance to work with some of the UK's most ambitious Microsoft partners.
  • Huge variety - no two days (or Partner Center issues) are ever the same.
  • A small, experienced team that trusts people to do great work without unnecessary layers of management.
  • The opportunity to shape how this service grows as Oaka continues to expand.
  • Plus all the usual bits: holiday, pension and other benefits.

Sound like you?

Apply here with a short note telling us about the most ridiculous Partner Center issue you've ever managed to untangle.

If you've got a story involving a support ticket that's been open for months, even better. We read every application ourselves and we'll always let you know the outcome. Can't wait to hear from you :)
