Microsoft Cloud Consultant – UK

Role Overview

Are you passionate about transforming businesses through technology?

As a Microsoft Cloud Consultant, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation, guiding clients as they navigate the exciting landscape of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Azure. Your expertise will empower organizations to shift from repetitive manual processes to innovative, scalable solutions driven by AI.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, to deliver impactful advisory and solution-led engagements. Get ready to conduct environment health checks and ensure that our clients align with Microsoft’s best practices in governance, security, and data protection.


Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between £65,000 and £75,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Transform environments – Conduct comprehensive environment health checks to uncover gaps in governance, security, and operations.
  • Deliver insights – Produce clear, structured health check reports with prioritised remediation recommendations to drive actionable change.
  • Shape solutions – Gather, refine, and translate client requirements into effective solution designs that enhance governance.
  • Innovate & deliver – Design and implement proof of concept (POC) to production solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Lead governance – Establish and enhance Power Platform governance models, aligned with Microsoft standards, to support growth.
  • Advocate for adoption – Ensure Copilot readiness across clients, including data, security, and governance compliance.
  • Build relationships – Effectively manage stakeholders and nurture strong client relationships to secure buy-in for improvements.
  • Guide teams – Provide clear development guidance and guardrails to ensure high-quality outcomes for delivery teams.
  • Drive transformation – Contribute to broader digital transformation initiatives, delivering exceptional results for strategic clients.

Requirements & Experience

Essential

  • Expertise in Power Platform – Strong understanding of governance best practices, environment strategy, platform administration, and oversight of solutions and automation (e.g., Copilot Studio) in enterprise environments.
  • Microsoft 365 Mastery – Deep knowledge of governance, security, and compliance, including tenant configuration and policy management.
  • Environment Health Check Experience – Proven ability to conduct Power Platform & Microsoft 365 governance assessments.
  • Data Protection & Security – Strong knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and identity management, including Entra ID.
  • Governance Frameworks – Experience defining and implementing effective governance frameworks for lifecycle management and controls.
  • Copilot-Ready Skills – Understanding of Copilot readiness, configuration, and governance requirements.
  • Licensing Expertise – Strong grasp of Microsoft licensing models, particularly for Power Platform and Copilot, to advise clients on optimal configurations.
  • Clear Communication – Ability to produce structured reports with risk assessments and actionable remediation plans.
  • Workshop Facilitation – Demonstrated ability to lead stakeholder workshops for requirements gathering and alignment.
  • Opportunity Development – Proven track record of identifying and expanding opportunities to support account growth.

Desirable

  • Practical experience with SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric – including data architecture and reporting.
  • Power Platform CoE Toolkit – Experience implementing it to align with best practices.
  • Regulatory Knowledge – Familiarity with GDPR compliance and governance models.
  • ALM & DevOps – Experience with application lifecycle management (ALM), continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps in Power Platform environments.
