Role: Microsoft Cloud Engineer

Salary/Package: Up to £55,000 + package

Location: Leeds or Doncaster (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite)

Fruition are currently recruiting for an experienced Microsoft Cloud Engineer for an exciting permanent opportunity. This role requires a hands-on infrastructure and Microsoft Cloud professional who can support, maintain and continually improve a modern enterprise environment across Microsoft 365, Azure and core infrastructure, whilst driving automation, security and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and administer Microsoft 365, Azure and core infrastructure services, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Manage and optimise core Microsoft technologies including Azure AD, Active Directory, SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft 365
  • Deliver new cloud services, infrastructure improvements and technical projects from design through to implementation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and cloud-related incidents, acting as an escalation point for technical issues
  • Maintain and enhance security across cloud and on-premise environments, including identity, endpoint management and data protection
  • Develop automation and scripting solutions to improve operational efficiency, provisioning and reporting
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards and support procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver reliable, secure and scalable IT services

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience supporting Microsoft Cloud technologies within a Systems Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory and hybrid cloud environments
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Intune, endpoint management, MFA, DLP and modern workplace technologies
  • Experience administering SaaS platforms such as Mimecast, Cisco Umbrella, Identity Management or similar enterprise solutions
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python or similar technologies
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef or Puppet would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, storage and traditional on-premise infrastructure
  • Experience with SQL or relational databases, CI/CD pipelines and Git would be beneficial
  • Microsoft certifications or equivalent commercial experience across Microsoft 365 and Azure administration are highly desirable
