Microsoft Copilot & Power Platform Specialist (Copilot Studio / Power Platform / AI Automation)
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne | Hybrid (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)
Salary: Up to £45,000
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Overview
A leading financial technology organisation is looking to appoint a Microsoft Copilot & Power Platform Specialist to support the next phase of its AI transformation programme.
Working alongside the organisation’s AI Champion, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying intelligent automation solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio and the wider Power Platform. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of Microsoft’s AI ecosystem, helping automate business processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive AI adoption across multiple business functions.
The role is ideal for someone with hands-on Power Platform experience who enjoys solving business challenges, working closely with stakeholders, and building enterprise-grade AI solutions that deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-powered business solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Apps, and Power Automate
- Develop intelligent Copilot Agents and enterprise automation workflows
- Identify opportunities to automate business processes using Microsoft AI technologies
- Deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned with governance and compliance standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend AI-driven improvements
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with existing business systems and data sources
- Create reusable automation templates, standards, and best practices
- Produce clear technical documentation and user guidance
- Support the rollout and adoption of Microsoft Copilot across the organisation
- Deliver demonstrations, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote AI capability

Requirements
Essential:
- Commercial experience using Microsoft Power Platform
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Apps, and Power Automate
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise automation solutions
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Copilot capabilities and AI-powered business automation
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Experience working within regulated or governed environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Passion for Microsoft AI technologies and continuous learning

Desirable:
- Microsoft PL-900 certification or equivalent commercial experience
- Experience developing Copilot Studio Agents
- PL-200 Power Platform Functional Consultant certification
- AI-102 Azure AI Engineer certification
- Experience integrating enterprise systems using APIs
- Knowledge of Dataverse, Microsoft Graph, and Microsoft 365
- Experience supporting AI adoption across a business
- Financial Services or FinTech experience
