Senior Consultant – Data, Analytics & AI

Practice: Microsoft Data, Analytics & AI (DAAI), delaware UK

Reporting to: Data, Analytics & AI Practice Lead

Location: United Kingdom – remote, with travel to client sites as required

Grade / level: Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant in delaware’s Data, Analytics & AI practice, you lead the design and delivery of modern analytics and AI solutions on the Microsoft platform - Power BI semantic models, Microsoft Fabric data platforms and Copilot/AI-enabled insight — for enterprise clients. You are a hands-on delivery lead and trusted advisor: you own analytics workstreams end-to-end, translate business problems into governed, performant data solutions, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to the growth of the practice through pre-sales, reusable IP and thought leadership.

About delaware

We exist to help our clients reach their full potential, by applying our common sense, business experience and passion for technology. Delaware is a global consultancy that partners with leading technology providers such as SAP (Platinum Partner) and Microsoft to deliver advanced digital solutions. We develop, innovate and implement technology transformations guiding our clients towards an intelligent future. Everyone at Delaware is a steward of the business. We are building for the future and for those that succeed us and we take responsibility for our relationship with the social and ecological environment.

What will you be doing?

Client delivery & advisory

  • Lead analytics workstreams from requirements through to production across one or more client engagements, owning quality, timelines and outcomes.
  • Run discovery and design workshops, translating business questions into data models, semantic models and reporting solutions.
  • Shape solution architecture and roadmaps, advising clients on the best-fit Microsoft analytics approach.
  • Act as a credible trusted advisor to senior business and technical stakeholders.

Technical delivery

  • Design and build Power BI semantic models — star-schema design, advanced DAX, row-level security, and performance optimisation — and high-quality reports, dashboards and KPI packs.
  • Build and curate data in Microsoft Fabric — Lakehouse / OneLake, medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) layers, Dataflows Gen2, pipelines and notebooks.
  • Implement integration patterns including Fabric Link, Dataverse shortcuts and Dynamics 365 (F&O, CE) sources.
  • Apply AI and Copilot capabilities — Fabric Data Agents, natural-language query and Copilot in Power BI — to deliver next-generation insight.
  • Embed governance and engineering discipline: workspace and deployment pipelines, security, lineage, testing and documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Right to work

Please note that it is a legal requirement that you have the right to work in the UK by the time you commence employment. We therefore ask those shortlisted for interview to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK during the recruitment process. Delaware holds a sponsor licence but not all roles are suitable for sponsorship, especially as, in some cases, individuals are required to work on long term client contracts, and this is not permitted under the sponsorship regime. Also, in some cases, individuals may be required to work in Ireland or elsewhere in Europe at short notice. If you do not currently have the right to work in the UK we will still consider your application. If your application is successful beyond the first interview stage we will consider whether sponsorship is a possibility or, where appropriate, whether there are any other immigration options available but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that sponsorship will always be possible.
