Microsoft Power Platform Consultant (Training & ETL Build Support)
Ad-hoc Contract
Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Consultant to upskill the internal Data Team and support the build of cloud-based ETL pipelines using Power Platform Dataflows and Power Query. This work underpins the migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, ahead of a production go-live in early 2027.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on training to a four-person Data Team on Power Query and Dataflows
- Shape and guide a scalable ETL framework for recurring flat-file imports
- Support the build of initial ingestion pipelines into Dataverse/D365
- Review and refine transformation logic, mapping, and pipeline structure
- Provide expert oversight during UAT, including error-handling configuration
- Optionally build pipelines or mapping logic where internal capacity is limited
Technical Scope
- Recurring Excel/CSV imports from third-party providers
- Six core D365 data patterns
- Two-tier pipeline model:
- Pre-processing tier: standardise diverse source files into a unified schema
- Loading tier: upset into D365 with robust de-duplication and matching logic

Requirements
- Strong experience with Power Platform Dataflows and Power Query
- Proven background designing and building cloud-based ETL pipelines
- Knowledge of Dataverse and Dynamics 365 CE data structures
- Experience training or coaching internal teams
- Understanding of data migration, UAT processes, and error-handling best practice
- SSIS/KingswaySoft familiarity beneficial
