Mid Backend Developer

Purpose of the Role
Join our Core Platform Team as a developer, designing, building, and maintaining the server software that powers Yoti’s solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Developing secure and scalable server software to support business needs, from design to implementation and integration testing.
- Ensuring the local development environment, CI/CD system, and tools are optimally configured to streamline development and release processes.
- Collaborating with Team Leads and VP of Engineering to help define architecture decisions.
- Working closely with team members and leads to deliver high-quality technical solutions aligned with specifications.
- Fueling cross-team collaboration, supporting other departments as they interact with Yoti’s platform.
What We’re Looking for
Technical & Practical Requirements
- Extensive experience writing secure and reliable software. (While we use Go, prior experience isn’t mandatory—only a willingness to learn is required.)
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking principles.
- Modern version control expertise—including git, with best practices like:
- Clear, informative commit messages.
- Active participation in code reviews.
- Microservices experience is a strong advantage, including familiarity with technologies like:
- gRPC
- Kubernetes
- Docker
- Demonstrated knowledge of security and cryptography would be a definite plus.
- Comfortable owning projects end-to-end, while working collaboratively with the wider team.
