10:10 Games is an independent development studio based in the heart of Warrington, UK. 10:10 Games saw its first release in 2024 with Funko Fusion and is now gearing up for future growth with new and exciting IPs. At 10:10 Games, we have anchored a people first culture into our studio where our team are empowered to fulfil their potential. About The Role
We are looking for a Mid-Level VFX Artist to join our Art Team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in our creative Art department, supporting many departments producing high quality VFX for Environment, Character and Gameplay Art, Animation and Game Mechanics that match the ambition and vision of the studio and project.
We are looking for a creative and pro-active team player who can problem solve, take direction and also work to clear briefs.
What You'll do
Work under the direction of the Art Director, Lead/Senior VFX and other appropriate discipline leads Create environmental, character and mechanic related effects from initial modelling/texture creation to final implementation within UE5 Liaise with Art/Design/Animation/Code to fully understand effect requirements and to aid implementation Ensure consistency of style throughout the project Research and provide options for effects if required Aid in the development and enhancement of tools for the VFX/Art teams Take responsibility for solving pipeline and technical issues Create effect templates Schedule your own work

What We're Looking For
1 Years’ experience in a VFX Artist role minimum. At least one shipped game title as a VFX Artist. In-depth knowledge of Unreal and Niagara In-depth knowledge and technical proficiency in Maya and other industry standard tools specific to VFX and Art creation (ie Photoshop, After Effects etc) Good knowledge of in-game effects (ie Smoke, Explosions, Fire, Damage etc) Ideally knowledge of Fluid Simulators (ie Niagara Fluids, EmberGen, Houdini etc) Positive solution driven mindset with a strong capacity for problem solving Excellent communicator An understanding of performance and memory budgets Good understanding of animation (timing/pace/tension) and how to use this to good effect Ability to adapt to various art styles and genres Ability to take constructive criticism and adapt to changes A genuine passion for visual effects and desire to make great games Knowledge of MEL or Python scripting languages would be useful but not essential
